Police sources said that Sushant's father KK Singh obtained information about his son's life in Mumbai.
According to IG Sanjay Singh, 341, (wrongful restraint) 420, (fraud) 306, (abduction of suicide), and 342 (wrongful imprisonment) are sections of IPC under FIR (241-B / 2020).
Kk Singh refused to provide further details after investigating the case.
Meanwhile, Dharma Production CEO Apoorva Mehta was questioned at Mumbai's Amboli police station on Tuesday in the same case, when filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was called by the police a day earlier.
The statements of 41 people have been recorded in this case so far.
Director Karan Johar is also likely to be grilled by the teams of Patna and Mumbai police in the investigation.
Following Sushant's demise on June 14, CBI investigations have been consistently demanded by fans and politicians, including LJP chief Chirag Paswan, BJP leader Rameshwar Chaurasia, Jap leader Pappu Yadav.
