After Bharti Airtel's 'Wi-Fi Calling' kicked off recently in select countries to enable its customers with free voice calls over Wi-Fi, Reliance Jio on Wednesday also launched Video and Voice Over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) service in India, which will enable them to switch to voice over Wi-Fi inside their homes/offices.
"Jio has been testing this service over the past few months, to provide a robust experience to every customer at launch," the company said in a statement.
Jio's service is currently available nation-wide on over 150 smartphones. Customers can also make and receive calls with Wi-Fi using existing Jio phone number. To know which handsets are compatible with Jio Wi-Fi
